Worthwhile purchase

I ordered this book because I knew I would be working on writing a Spanish curriculum, and it was definitely a wise purchase. This book is easy to read and extremely informative. I like that it is not too long, because I would have found that to be overwhelming. I was able to take my time reading through it and get a lot of great ideas over the course of a week.
This book encourages the use of Understanding By Design and developing thematic units rather than teaching from lists of voacbulary and grammar topics. It provides excellent examples of incorporating culture into instruction, which is something that many world language teachers struggle with. There is also a great list of resources at the end of the book.
I highly recommend this comprehensive, informative book to anyone who is developing a world lanugauges curriculum or wants to improve their instruction.
